The Bill Bishop Annual Golf Classic is held on the first
weekend in August every year. The participation for this event includes area professionals, amateurs, sponsors and celebrities
who come together for an exciting weekend of golf.
The beneficiaries
of this is our inner city youth. The Annual Golf Classic is one of the key events in support of the Junior Golf Program.
Below is a
cost breakdown for the session we hold each year:
Program 1
The program
starts after school on the first Monday in April and goes through the month of October. Golf instructions are held between
the hours of 3 and 5pm. The staff consists of 2 teaching instructors and volunteers. Instructor is provided for 24 sessions
for 2 hours per session. Instructor rates are $35.00 per hour for a total of $3,360.00
Program 2
This program
starts on the first Saturday in May and runs until the end of August. Golf instructions are held between the hours of 9am
to 12pm. The staff consists of 5 teaching instructors, given class sizes run between 45-50 children. Instructors provide instruction for 14 sessions at 2 hours per session at $35.00 per hour for a total cost
of $4,900.00.
Program 3
The inner city
Camden program starts on the first Tuesday & Thursday in July and continues through the end of August. Instruction is held from 10am till 1pm with a staff of 5 instructors. Instructors provide instruction for
16 sessions at 3 hours per session at $35.00 per hour for a total cost of $6,720.00.
